Job Summary
T and T Valve and Instrument, Inc. is a family owned manufacturers representative and stocking distributor of valves and automation for the Northern California and Western Nevada markets. The company serves a wide range of industries consisting of Industrial, Power, Chemical, Petro:Chemical, Food and Beverage, Water and Wastewater, OEMs, Engineering Firms, and Commercial Construction. Our Outside Sales Representatives work closely with our customers to better understand their challenges and help them find solutions.
T and T Valve and Instrument is looking for an Outside Sales Representative to service our Sacramento territory that includes the greater Sacramento region and north to the Oregon border as well as Western Nevada. In this role, your main responsibility will be to increase sales volume and market share in the assigned territory. The role will include direct contact with end users, distributors, consulting engineers, and contractors to drive sales. Service and support has built our business so your ability to cultivate long:term relationships with new and existing customers will be critical to your success.
Primary Responsibilities
:Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers.
:Work independently yet cooperatively with company goals and directives.
:Cultivate strong relationships with customers to understand their requirements and develop appropriate solutions to meet their needs.
:Develop and implement target account strategies.
:Coordinate all sales and account management activities at assigned accounts, including field sales contacts, identification of sales potential, applications targeting, technical product solutions, proposal generation, and follow:up.
:Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of products represented by T and T Valve, their applications, features, and benefits.
:Maintain knowledge of competitors activities throughout assigned territory.

: x202A;Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering, or other related field, or equivalent number of years experience in an associated field preferred.
:Proven track record with generating new accounts, obtaining sales goals, and building and maintaining high:level customer relationships.
:Strong business acumen; an understanding of entire value chain and experience working with owners, engineers, contractors, and distributors.
:Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
:Ability to work independently; self:motivating and accountable, with exceptional time management and organization skills.
:Computer proficiency in software applications including analysis, letter writing, email communications, and graphic presentations.
:Basic financial skills.
:Availability to work and travel locally within assigned market up to 80 of the time.
Working Conditions
:Work conditions are dependent upon customer locations including manufacturing facilities, jobsites, and office environments.
:Job requires walking around customer sites and uneven surfaces, and occasionally requires climbing stairs or scaffolding, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
:Occasionally have to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
:May be required to wear personal protective equipment; protective footwear, safety eyewear, hardhat, and ear protection.
:Pay will be commiserate with experience
