Job Description:/h3:
ALC is searching for an RID:Certified Sign Language Interpreter to fulfill the role of production manager and to assist the Program Manager with recruiting and retention of part:time interpreters throughout the State of California.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Recruits employees to fill vacant positions.
Expectation: Recruitment process is accurate, timely, documented, and efficient.
Reviews job requisitions and identifies applicants via computerized or manual system.
Expectation: Review and knowledge is timely and ongoing.
Tactfully turns the applicant away if applicant is judged unqualified.
Expectation: All communication with applicants is tactful, friendly and respects confidentiality.
Analyzes the information provided on a prospective employees application form, and conducts phone interview to screen applicants prior to personal interviews. Conducts a personal interview.
Expectation: Analysis is timely. Interviews are timely, complete and documented.
Performs further background reference investigation, i.e., calls prior employment reads references, transcripts, etc. to gain adequate information on which to base a selection decision. Takes into consideration previous experience, education, etc.
Expectation: Investigations are documented, timely, accurate, and complete.
Follows up with the related clerical aspects of employment, such as completing health insurance forms, notifying the department of employees starting date, and the requisition the employee is filling, etc.
Expectation: Follow:up actions are timely, complete, and documented.
Act as liaison with area employment agencies, preparation and liaison with advertising agencies, processing and checking advertising agency billings.
Expectation: Liaison with outside services is timely, accurate, and discreet.
Acts as liaison with temporary agencies, recording status of authorized positions within the corporations, employment verifications, and employee referral program.
Expectation: Follow:up and support is timely and complete.
Completes weekly report on employment activity.
Expectation: Reports are timely and complete.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree (B.A.) from four:year college or university; or at least two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to communicate in Sign Language is a must. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customer.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
RID:Certification. Maintains a valid Drivers License.
