Provides college:wide strategic direction and leadership in assessing and overseeing student life activities and outcomes.This position will work with Enrollment Services, Student Finance and Academic Advising, program and campus leaders across Carrington to plan, prioritize and implement events and/or programs to enhance the quality of student life. The position will work closely with DeVry Education Group legal, ombudsman, insurance, and IT to ensure compliance. This position will review, assess and make recommendations to make improvements in nonacademic areas such as, but not limited to, student events, student organizations, student activities, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) student health insurance and the student assistance program.The overall priority is to ensure locations are compliant, improve student life, improve persistence and provide service excellence across the student this role you will: Establish annual objectives for College results on key metrics to improve student engagement and satisfaction with student life programs.Develop and maintain framework for engaging students in organizations such as SGA, advisory boards and NSNA at both the local and national level.Provide guidance on use of self:service and virtual tools to engage more students in activities and organizations and assist where campuses have limited staff.Assess and make recommendation on processes that could benefit from centralization.Create consistency of service provided to students and provide communication that keeps all informed.Partner with the Office of On:line Student Disabilities Services to manage the Americans with Disabilities Act to ensure compliance (ADA) across Chamberlain and ensure accommodations managers are trained to reduce risk and increase service excellence.Ensures campus student services participate in new student orientations and provides leadership to the local managers on how to improve in these areas. Create and maintain a comprehensive Student Life Policy Manual. Leads monthly Student Life calls to update campuses on student life issues.Work with Security on all aspects of student safety and ensure EthicsPoint is utilized by local campus leaders in conjunction with the Incident Commander process.Provides standard training programs for new staff that is augmented by local requirements.Build and maintain partnerships with ASPIRE and the student health insurance organization. Lead marketing campaigns, internal and external, that support student life pletes other duties as assigned. MasterA?s degree preferred. 5 years of progressively responsible experience in student/career services in higher education marketing; human resources; or employment services. Demonstrated track record of successful management and leadership. A background or experience in training and development. Must have strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
