Job Description:/h3:
A well:established processor of food products is seeking an experienced HR Manager for their expanding team in Northern California. The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years of relevant experience along with food/ag and/or manufacturing experience.
Responsibilities of the HR Manager:
:Act as a strategic partner by raising proactive issues with managers, identifying practical solutions to complex and diverse HR issues, and recommending appropriate action plans.
:Coach managers in ongoing performance management including addressing performance issues, rewarding superior performance, and communicating performance expectations to employees.
:Work with managers to source and select top talent in compliance with local and federal employment laws, develop succession plans, and develop employees.
:Work with managers on change management strategies to plan and implement change with a focus on ensuring effective employee communications.
:Coach managers in understanding employee issues, concerns, and underlying causes; promote direct lines of communications between employees and management.
:Coach managers in understanding compliance issues, advise managers of legal issues, and act as advocate for employees when needed.
:Keep managers informed on anti:discrimination regulations.
:Maintain historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system; keep past and current records.
:Develop and administer human resources policies and procedures.
Requirements of the HR Manager:
:Bachelors degree in Business Administration or other relevant discipline
:5+ years relevant experience; food/ag and/or manufacturing experience required.
:MBA or PHR/SPHR preferred
:Experience in a strong process improvement environment that utilizes Six Sigma or other Lean manufacturing disciplines
:Experience with talent management, including recruitment, succession planning, and employee development
:Expert knowledge of human resource practices, applicable local and federal laws and regulations
:Solid problem resolution and negotiation skills
:Outstanding written and oral communication skills
