We are currently seeking a Category Management Analyst/Business Relationship Manager (IT Focused) to support our Procurement organization at either our facility in Sacramento or Canoga Park, CA. Within the Indirect Procurement organization, this position is responsible for the day to day management of IT software, maintenance and ad hoc projects. Act as liaison to ARA?s IT stakeholder community, and as vendor relationship manager to the 3rd party outsource provider of Indirect Procurement. This current opening may be filled at this level as posted or at one level higher.20 : Serve as the Aerojet Rocketdyne stakeholder liaison for all IT:specific procurement activities. 30 : Work heavily with 3rd party outsource provider for all Indirect Procurement activities, including Category Management, Sourcing and contract execution (purchase order placement). 20 : Contract Administration: Responsible for final Purchase Order and related documents, including terms and conditions, financial provisions, roles and responsibilities and all other supporting documents. Team lead in contract formulation, negotiations, and post:award change control. Act as the liaison between AR Legal and vendors. 20 : Relationship Management: Establish strong partnerships with AR stakeholders and Indirect Procurement outsource provider. Be a key participant in IT category planning, contract statusing and problem resolution activities. 10 : Provides regular updates to IT VMO (Vendor Management Office), including recommendations on new or renewal of vendor contracts.Bachelors degree required plus minimum of 3 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency, or other status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information. Having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement. Preferred Qualifications:Experience in an IT Category Management environment is preferred.Demonstrated skills in contract formulation.Prior experience in negotiating and analyzing complex contracts along with knowledge of vendor performance metrics preferred.Ability to influence others, be a key contributor or leader on IT core teams,Contract negotiation and excellent written/verbal communication skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint and Excel; knowledge of other Microsoft Office products. Work Environment/Physical Requirements:Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 15 pounds; may require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
