Job Description 13;
This is a Metrology position working within the Quality and Engineering Team supporting the Americas region Keysight Service Centers. This role supports Service Centers accreditation to ISO 17025 and compliance to ANSI Z540. The focus is on the development and support of instrument calibrations conducted in the field of DC and LF, RF and microwave, time and frequency, Phys/D, etc. The demands will relate to Keysight instruments as well as multi:vendor instruments to support Keysight customer calibration needs regardless of equipment manufacturer. Also, working within the Q and E Team, this position will not only support standards compliance, but also Quality Management System basics such as continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, training and mentorship, revenue generation, business continuity, change management, etc.
Provide engineering, quality and metrology expertise and guidance to customers and internal staff.
Design and modification of calibration procedures to manufacturers specifications, relevant standards and customer requirements, in support of multi:vendor equipment in the fields of DC/LF, RF/Microwave and Phys/D, etc. Procedures will utilize suitable measurement techniques that are deliverable in the field
Calculate measurement uncertainties for Keysight and multi:vendor equipment in the fields of DC/LF, RF/Microwave and Phys/D, etc. in accordance with the GUM (ILAC G8) using Keysight measurement uncertainty templates and MATLAB with Simulink.
Manages Proficiency Testing / Inter Laboratory Comparison programs for each accredited Service Center.
Solves problems requiring breadth/depth of knowledge of calibration, metrology principles, and quality systems. Recommends corrective and improvement solutions that meet business goals, are cost effective and enhance processes.
Provides consistent, solid contribution to team and business delivery goals. Stays flexible to changing business needs and takes ownership of commitments and delivers on them. Learns new, emerging technologies rapidly.
Job Qualifications 13;
Bachelors or Masters Degree or University Degree or equivalent experience. Typically 2:4+ years relevant experience for entry to this level. Requires general proficiency with tools, systems and procedures to accomplish job.
Knowledge and Experience
:This position requires an engineering degree or equivalent training/certification.
:Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 17025 and ANSI Z540.
:Broad knowledge of instruments and measurements in the field of DC and LF, RF and microwave, time and frequency, Phys/D, etc.
:Understands calibration methods and procedures of test and measurement instrumentation.
:Demonstrates leadership to work with multi:national / cross:functional teams.
