As a member of James Hardies Interiors Segment, Pro Sales Representatives work to secure mutually beneficial relationships and product positioning within the markets building products dealer and distribution network (Tile, Lumber, and Gypsum). In addition, this role will strategically identify and target potential end users (e.g. tile installers, property management companies, remodelers) to generate and grow new business by successfully converting the target audience from using competitive building products to using James Hardie products. The incumbent also positions the Companys value proposition and whole:product solution to the customer to build and enhance strong customer relationships and to become a strong business partner.
The Pro Sales Representative focuses sales efforts in their geographical territory in coordination with and leadership from his/her Area Sales Manager (ASM). The Pro Sales Representative will individualize a plan for their territory and decide on the proper focus areas to achieve market share growth goals
:Develop relationships with key decision makers in Pro channel accounts
:Create a market map consisting of builders, installers, and channel dynamics to aid in market execution strategy
:Perform aggregation events through channel partners as a means to identify and convert competitive product users
:Negotiate mutual beneficial agreements between the customer and James Hardie
:Develop a healthy funnel consisting of potential HardieBacker users buying through the Pro channel
:Establish stocking positions in key geographies and or accounts currently not stocking JH products
:Perform product knowledge seminars / classes
:Position the value of James Hardies products to builders and installers against competition
:Understand tile installation process in new construction and repair and remodel segments
:Conduct a competitive market analyses; including existing territory, customer types, and existing competitive products
:Leverage salesforce to plan and manage time as well as customer information
:Use internal and external reporting tools to understand current market performance and identify opportunities for growth

:2 : 4 years of successful outside sales experience selling value:added, whole solution products to customers
:Bachelors degree (Sales and/or Marketing preferred)
:Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus
:Previous experience in construction environments a plus
:Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
:Valid drivers license.
