(DMI) is seeking a full time Help Desk / Digital Asset Tech to support one of its government clients in Fairfield, CA. The purpose of this position is twofold. The primary role is to address issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware. The secondary role is to establish and maintain a Master Asset List (MAL) for the client as part of the Information Assurance : Quality Control (IA:QC) team. The strategic goal is to maintain positive control of digital assets, and support daily Help Desk operations at the tactical level by installing, modifying, and repairing computer hardware and software as required. This position is responsible for supporting senior executives, managers, internal and external clients, project managers and IA:QC objectives. Working knowledge of DoD Data Center Operations and Windows networked environments including VMware is a plus. Additional knowledge of Property Book Unit Supply Enhanced (PBUSE) and WiseTrack asset management is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge and/or experience with MS Group Policy and Power Shell. Duties and Responsibilities: Support daily Help Desk operations in a complex environment to resolve issues related to computer systems, software and hardware, network and configuration standardsTroubleshoot and resolve PC/Desktop and related issues in a timely manner to include; remote access, mis:configurations, registry settings, GPO updates, WSUS/patch testing, etc.Create a systemic method to identify, catalog and manage digital assets across multiple domains and windows networked environments, (i.e. IP Address, FQDN, Serial/Tag, URL, Noun Nomenclature, etc.)Enforce data security while maintaining DISA and DoD compliance standards Education and Years of Experience:Degree: AA MIS/Automation Systems or equivalent experience; (a BA Info Systems/Computer Science is preferred) 8 years of operational experience 3:5 Years of practical, hands:on, working experience with Help Desk operations Working knowledge of Microsoft OS, RHEL, MS Active Directory, and MMC ToolsRequired Skills/Certifications:Skills: Current CompTIA Sec+ CE certification or an approved DoD 8570:M AT:Level I/II certification Demonstrable experience supporting Held Desk operations, specifically:o Experience providing technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardwareo Experience responding to queries in person or over the phone o Experience installing, modifying, and repairing computer hardware and software Working knowledge of DoD Data Center Operations in a Windows networked environment including VMware and RHEL Knowledge of Asset Management and Lifecycle Inventory systemsDesired Skills/Certifications: Knowledge of basic network architecture, (i.e. Active Directory: Enterprise, Forests, Domains, OUs; FQDN, etc.)ACLs, port switching and common protocols Working knowledge and/or experience with MS Group Policy and Power Shell Experience with government off:the:s
