A general contractor and property management company in Elk Grove is looking for an Administrative Accounting Specialist to join their growing team. Our client is in need of someone with previous construction background and experience with billing, accounts receivable, and processing purchase orders. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, well organized, and possess strong technical skills. This is a full time, temporary to hire opportunity. RESPONSIBILITIES: Creating, reviewing, and issuing contract agreements and purchase orders. Document tracking, subcontractor bid coordination, and subcontract bid analysis. Material and equipment procurement. Develop, track, and maintain project control documents (RFI's, Submittals, RFQ's, CO's, etc.) Review subcontractor project submittals and RFI's for conformance with plans and specifications. Accounts Receivable invoicing and light collections using the internal accounting system. Process bank deposits and reconcile the bank account. Receives, routes and processes invoices and payments. Work to improve office efficiency, flow of supplies and general appearance. Answer phones, direct calls, take messages. Other duties as needed. Applicants must possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to multi-task in a busy environment. Strong communication skills to work with both internal and external clients. Min 2-3 years of Administrative Assistant experience. Background in construction or property manager is highly desired. Advanced MS Word and Excel. Strong ability to multi-task. Type 55+ wpm. Full Time, Monday-Friday.
