Charis Youth Center provides innovative, creative services in residential treatment, mental health and education programs to emotional disturbed (ED) adolescents’ ages 13 to 21 years old. Charis Youth Center is licensed by the State of California Department of Social Services, California Department of Education. Implement high standards residential care in and accredited program by Council on Accreditation (COA). Services that are provided in our non-public school are implemented with approved standards of care by Western Association of School and Colleges (WASC) and National Commission for Accreditation (NCASES).


KEY JOB FUNCTIONS
Accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company, to include the development of a financial and operational strategy, the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results. Principal accountabilities: prepare financial statements and reports, payroll, taxes, budgeting, retirement 403b program, exemption status, worker compensation, employee income and verification reports.

PROVEN EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a wide range of finance experience in private industry and nonprofit management, financial management, business administration, or equivalent with a proven track record of managing and closing a high volume of transactions. In addition:

A professional demeanor, exhibits excellent interpersonal skill, the ability to think and act strategically, planning for the long-term while balancing short-term needs of the organization is required.

Demonstrate excellence in financial planning and reporting, budget preparation, fiscal monitoring, control and administration of multi-million dollar budgets with multiple funding sources
Analytical and communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex issues and communicate them effectively to audiences through oral/written skills

Has worked with insurance broker on selection and management of various insurances policies
Experienced in operating/managing computer-based accounting database
Ability to think and act strategically -- planning for the long-term while balancing short-term needs of the organization
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business Administration, or MBA
